The replicated home office of Major Richard D. Winters, Commander, Easy Company, 101st Airborne, is a permanent exhibit at the Hershey Derry Township Historical Society in Hershey, PA, USA. Major "Dick" Winters resided in Hershey during the last twenty years of his life, and selected the Historical Society to exhibit his home office, where he edited "Band of Brothers" with Stephen Ambrose, and consulted for Tom Hanks and Stephen Spielberg during the production of the HBO miniseries. The society maintains the exhibit through funds raised by its annual Band of Brothers tour "In the Footsteps of Major Dick Winters."
Major Winters contributed to the crafting of the first itinerary in 2008, and the Society continues to offer the battlefield expedition every September. A highlight is the annual celebration "Remember September" in Eindhoven, NE, which commemorates the September 17, 1944 Operation Market-Garden "jump" into Holland by the 101st Airborne. Winters' company landed near Eindhoven. In 2007, Winters was presentated a Citation "Citizen of Honor" by the city of Eindhoven.
