Dale Nelsen isn’t going back to Normandy for himself. This time, it’s for his granddaughter. Nelsen, who served as a Navy medic, is one of 13 veterans traveling to World War II sites across Europe, such as the Battle of the Bulge and where the Germans surrendered to Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower.
