Izumo was an armored cruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Izumo was the leadship of the Izumo-class cruisers. During World War II, she was used as a training vessel. Izumo was bombed and sunk by carrier-based aircraft of the US Navy on July 24th, 1945, at Kure Harbor, Japan. This video was filmed on April 14th, 1946.
