Its first flight after restoration was in 2001. Fuselage has new longerons and wings rebuilt by Cal-Pacific Airmotive with new spars. Engine is a Packard Merlin V-1650-7 with -9 heads and banks 0 SMOH by Pays Air Service, NSW Australia. Propeller is a Hamilton Standard 24D50 with new Avia-H.S. sequential blades 1.9 SMOH Prop A.D. complied with 10/2015.

P-51-D exterior is painted as the "Flying Undertaker". Interior is painted in authentic green paint. Avionics include Garmin GPS150, Dual VHF King Gold Crown KTR 908 Nav, King KT 76A Transponder and PS 1000 Intercom​.
