An unusual remnant of World War II was found by a group of military history enthusiasts in the middle of a field in Poland on 1st October this year. One meter beneath the surface the German turret was resting for over 70 years. Given the circumstances, it’s still in a pretty good shape!

Located 20km northeast of Hitler's Wolfschanze "Wolf's Lair" are the Mauerwald OKH Headquarters. These bunkers unlike those at the Wolf's Lair were not destroyed at the end of WW2 and are still in great shape. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Malbork is a town in northern Poland. During World War II this area of the world was part of Germany West Prussia. In recent decades numerous mass graves have been unearthed in the area. In January of 2009 a discovery of over 1800 bodies and human remains were discovered in Malbork.
