The Messerschmitt Me410, nicknamed the Hornisse ("Hornet"), was a German heavy fighter and Schnellbomber used by the Luftwaffe during World War II. It was developed from the Me210 and fitted with a more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 603A engine which greatly improved its flight performance. The Me410A-1 was a high speed bomber variant. It was one of the few bombers which could still effectively break through the interception from the Allied Forces and bomb Britain by 1944. Meanwhile, it was also deployed to the Zerstörer-Geschwader for interception task.

REVIEWS

  • Review by  Andy Brazier.-  A superb aircraft kit from Meng, and a nice and well timed replacement for the old Revell/Monogram kit, which has become harder and harder to get hold of over the years. A well moulded kit and a looks to be a fairly easy build. Highs: Well engineered kit, with some superb detail. Lows: If I had to nitpick it would be that no masks are supplied for the cockpit glazing... • Review by Brett Green.- Meng's 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Me 410 A is just as good as their earlier B-2/U4, and it is nice to see that they have gone to the trouble of correcting the propeller blades from the original release. Advantages: Excellent mouldings; high level of detail including full engines and weapons bay; optional position rudder, elevators, landing flaps and ailerons; fine recessed panel detail; corrected propeller blades; very clear canopy parts with raised roll cage moulded to the inside; high quality decals... • Review by Ron.- Meng’s new release of this 1/48 scale aircraft is very well done. Beautifull moulded parts with crisp detail and no flash. I can’t find any fitproblems on first look. In the build you will have several options ; Angle of flap can be selected, canopies can be posed open or closed, radiators can be posed open or closed.  This kit can be build straight from the box into a beautifull model. Even for beginners this kit will be not to hard to build if you take your time for it. More advanced builders will use some  future update sets for the cockpit and other details...
