The wave of vandalism occurred in Huntington (Indiana) in this year has had as targeted a World War II era tank located in Memorial Park. In particular, this tank is a US Sherman M4A1 which was spray painted with the initials "KKKK". Police believe kids were the responsibles of this acts of vandalism.

"This disrespect of monuments dedicated to the brave men and women who have fought and died for this country will not be tolerated", community leaders said. Although the city removed the grafitti, the emotional damage remains.
