It's 1944, somewhere in the Pacific Theater, and American forces are about to take a Japanese-held position..., or it could be 2010, in Fredericksburg, Texas. On selected weekends each year. the National Museum of the Pacific War (aka the Nimitz Museum) holds Living History weekends. They present these battle demonstrations three times a day, explaining in detail about the weapons and combat equipment and tactics used by both sides in the Pacific War. Each show lasts about two hours and is well worth a visit.
