Allied is an upcoming American romantic thriller film directed by Robert Zemeckis. It is reportedly based on a true story about two assassins who fall in love during a mission to kill a Nazi official in 1942. The film will be released on November 23, 2016 by Paramount Pictures. 

The film is one of two upcoming WWII dramas starring Pitt, the other being David Michôd’s “War Machine.” Allied – Pitt's fourth World War II movie in his career. Allied is a spy thriller that basically looks like Mr. & Mrs. Smith as a World War II drama. 

The opening part of the trailer shows the glamorous duo gunning down Nazis at a banquet, followed by the two of them developing real love. 

  • “Come with me to London to be my wife,” he says.
  • “I love you with all my heart,” she responds.

The final scene in the trailer deals with the couple being confronted in London by secrets from their past. 

The story is as follow. In 1942 North Africa, during a mission in Casablanca to kill a German ambassador, intelligence officer Max Vatan (Brad Pitt) meets a female French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard) on a dangerous mission behind enemy lines. The couple reunites in London, only to have their relationship threatened by the pressures of the war.

This trailer follows a first 60-second spot released in August.
