Keith Davis is a proud member of the American Legion Post 28 in Springville. Despite landing on Utah Beach in Normandy with the 16th Field Artillery in 1944, fighting in the infamous Battle of the Bulge and liberating a Nazi concentration camp, the 89-year-old veteran begins his story of service with the American Legion. "We are involved in a lot of service," Davis said. "Last year we did 120 funerals for veterans, and it will be close to the same this year. Thirty or more of us come out every time to fold the flag from the top of the casket and present it to the spouse or the family. We say a few words and give the 21-gun salute."
