"Atlantic Wall" is a new war movie set during World War II, which will be starred by Bradley Cooper. At this moment, the Black List WWII drama film is in development. This project will be set for a 2018 release and it's planned to shoot on location in Normandy, as Variety reports.
The storyline is about a lone American paratrooper, who is stranded behind enemy lines hours before D-Day. He is tasked with delivering intelligence critical to the outcome of the war and compelled to fulfill a promise to protect the young son of a murdered ally. From the sound of it, the project will combine military excitement with a bit of pathos for good measure, as Screen Crush reports.
Gavin O’Connor will direct from a script by Zach Dean. Producers are Imperative Entertainment’s Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas, which plans to co-finance the film, along with Madhouse Entertainment’s Adam Kolbrenner. This becomes another major project for Imperative, as Deadline reports. Cooper will exec produce “Atlantic Wall” with Joint Effort (Warner Bros) producing partner Todd Phillips.
